Job Overview:

The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation is seeking an Annual Giving Specialist who is able to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with individual, corporate, and institutional donors to inspire sustainable financial support for the organization. This role manages mid-level giving and monthly giving programs, corporate engagement, grants, and one key signature fundraising event. She/he passionately supports an award-winning community hospital that values compassion, accountability, respect, innovation and collaboration.

The Annual Giving Specialist plays a key role in driving growth and strengthening alliances in the community. Reporting to the Manager of Development, the Annual Giving Specialist is responsible for developing and stewarding donor relationships through personalized solicitation, engagement and communication strategies. They will ensure accurate tracking of donor interactions, acknowledgements and reporting, as well as analyze giving trends to optimize retention, drive growth and improve overall program effectiveness.

Salary – $63,750–$80,600/year

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) charitable giving regulations
  • Understanding of organizational fundraising policies and procedures
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated donor stewardship, solicitation strategies and volunteer management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead a team and collaborate with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate, persuade and influence others to act and achieve results
  • Proficient in the use of donor databases, fundraising platforms and productivity tools
  • Passion for community and a commitment to health care

Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly related fundraising experience will be considered
