Generator Field Service Technician

Albert’s Generator Services Ltd. is looking to add a Generator Field Service Technician to our team.

We have been servicing generators in Southwestern Ontario since 1998 with a focus on the maintenance and repairs of diesel, natural gas, and propane powered commercial generators from various manufacturers. We are a family-owned and operated company without the hierarchy of large corporations. As a member of our team your voice will be heard, and your actions will have a real impact on our plans and successes for the future.

The Opportunity

As a Generator Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance, service, diagnostics and repairs of emergency generators and their associated components at the customer’s facility. You will be the face of our company for our customers so maintaining a clean worksite, professional appearance and manners is imperative.

We are looking for motivated people who can deliver high quality customer service with excellent communication skills, are mechanically inclined and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine or generator repair however we are willing to train the right, mechanically inclined individual. Potential apprenticeship opportunity.

Salary is negotiable but will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An excellent problem solver/troubleshooter, resourceful and dedicated to following all jobs through to completion.
  • Self-starter who thrives on working independently.
  • Have a professional demeanor.
  • Organized, responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills (English).
  • Have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and be willing to provide driver’s abstract.
  • Hold an OSSD or equivalent and be able to enter an appropriate apprenticeship opportunity if requested/required.
  • Be willing to travel across Southern Ontario, with the occasional overnight stay as required.
  • Willingness to provide on-call services as part of the field service team rotation, overtime and weekend availability when required.
  • Ability to get Security clearances when needed.
