I retired from a full-time job in November of 2025. After the first month I couldn't stand it. I reached out to employment services in January of 2026 to inquire about part-time work. I hadn't had to use or make a resume for 38years. With the help of Kathie Brockington and Mark Durbridge I was able to make a resume and apply for a job. Within the week I had my first interview. I would personally to thank both Kathie and Mark for all they were able to help me with.
Phil Butler and the team at Employment Services Elgin advocated for me when I was at one of the lowest points in my life. They believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. After being unemployed for over a decade, finding a job felt impossible because of the long gap in my work history.
