Line Cook/Prep Cook

Description

Wage:  $17.60 to $20/hour
Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30 to 40 hours/week
Terms: No late nights

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Pur & Simple standards
  • Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and plating
  • Follow FIFO, proper cooking temperatures, rotations, and food safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as required
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

You must have:

  • Have experience with basic culinary skills and kitchen practices
  • Demonstrate adequate knife-handling skills
  • Understand FIFO, food safety, cooking temperatures, flipping, and rotations
  • Be able to stand for long periods
  • Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Have up to 1 year of kitchen experience(asset)
  • Be available to work weekends
  • Hold a Food Handler Certification(asset or willingness to obtain)
