Messenger Freight Systems, St Thomas

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms: Over the road up to 10 days

Duties:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the USA.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Manage freight loading and unloading.
• Maintain accurate e-logs and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with operations and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

• 2 years of verifiable AZ experience holding a valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record and CVOR
• Fast card or valid passport
• Criminal Search
• Proven experience in long haul driving or similar roles within the transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members, enforcement and customers.
