Job Summary:
A 310T Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks, and other commercial vehicles. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently in compliance with provincial regulations.

Competitive wages based on experience and certification level in addition, 2 day paid job shadowing to successful candidate before offer of full time employment is made.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake servicing, and engine tune-ups
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems
  • Use diagnostic tools and computerized equipment to identify issues
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Respond to emergency roadside repairs when required

Work Environment:

  • Indoor shop and outdoor work environments
  • Exposure to noise, fumes, and heavy equipment
  • May require shift work, overtime, and on-call duties

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs or more)
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions (standing, bending, kneeling)

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License (Ontario)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship completion or relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems
  • Valid driver’s license (AZ or DZ is an asset)
