Specialized Livestock Worker- 2 positions available.

One day off through the week and work every other weekend. 6am to 2:30pm approximately.

Assisting in all aspects of the barns, care/well being of animals, assist in diagnosis and treatment of swine/piglet health issues, assist with sows farrowing, breeding, handling, vaccinating, processing litters(needling, castrating, tagging, etc.) marking, monitoring animals.

Assist in development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures, Maintain livestock performance, quality control, production and work records.

Set and monitor water lines, feeders and ventilation controls.

Perform repairs and maintenance in all aspects as needed in barns.

Tagging, vaccinating, shipping, receiving, moving animals, garbage/manure removal, compost mortalities, washing rooms, equipment, trucks and trailers.

Supervise general farm workers, perform other general farm tasks. Dutton/West Lorne area.

Two or more years of full time experience in a commercial pig barn.
