This position offers a rotating driver schedule in addition to call-in relief driver coverage. There are no minimal set hours with this work opportunity.

Driving the Centre’s accessible van is a vital transportation role serving our rural community clients. Transporting people safely and professionally, the accessible van driver travels to locations such as London, St. Thomas, Chatham, and the surrounding communities in all weather conditions. The driver is also responsible for performing thorough vehicle safety inspections, completing required documentation, and complying with legislation including the Ontario Traffic Safety Act / MTO Regulations.

• Possess a valid G driver’s license and provide a current, satisfactory driver’s abstract required.
• Experience operating a wheelchair lift and a minimum of three years’ driving commercial fleet or buses preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands to safely support clients with mobility challenges required.
• A satisfactory vulnerable sector police check required.
• Flexible availability including possible weekends.
• Professional, accountable, kind, empathetic, respectful, and non-judgmental.
