Position: Custodian (Multiple School Locations)
Locations: West Lorne, St. Thomas, Aylmer, Ontario
Term: Full-Time / Part-Time (various shifts)
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role:

We are seeking reliable, dedicated Custodians to join our school facilities teams in West Lorne, St. Thomas, and Aylmer. Custodians play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, washrooms, and common areas
Set up and take down furniture and equipment for school events
Maintain cleanliness of entrances, grounds, and exterior walkways as required
Monitor and restock supplies (soap, paper products, cleaning materials)
Perform minor maintenance tasks and report repair needs
Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards
Secure the building by locking doors and ensuring alarms are set (depending on shift)

Qualifications

Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, especially in schools or large facilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Police check: VSC-Vulnerable Sector Check required
Flexibility to work evenings or split shifts depending on school needs
