The Summer Intern position will be a chance for an individual to learn about working at a church with hands-on experience. Through this internship the individual will assist the staff while being challenged to grow in their Spiritual goals, personal goals as well as their ministry goals while they serve at Fellowship Church.

Schedule:  Full-time 8-week position, July 2 to Aug 23 (time frame is negotiable)

Hours:  35 hours per week

Wage:  $17.20/hour

If selected for this position, you will be responsible for working under the direction of Administrative Assistant and Chairperson of Council to plan, organize and run our various summer ministries for children & youth, along with other tasks that are assigned.

Tasks / Outcomes

• Help plan, organize, and run various activities / events for children and youth. (Examples: SERVE, High Five Camp (VBS), Summer Sizzlers, etc.).
• Attend and participate in Sunday services at Fellowship Church.
• Assist with general responsibilities, such as event preparation, correspondence, phone contacts.
• Provide assistance to ministry leaders with program planning, recruitment, and advertising.
• Update the Fellowship Church social media platforms and recruit a volunteer/team to maintain the platforms.

Other duties as assigned:

• Assist church staff in re-organizing the storage rooms of the church with a goal to maximum the storage potential of the existing facility.
• Minor church maintenance and grounds keeping.
• Attend weekly staff meetings as well as congregational events.

• Must be 15 to 30 years old.
• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must be a growing Christian who enjoys working with youth and children.
• Have developed people skills and able to work effectively with both students and adults.
• Should be open to learning new skill sets that will help them develop in ministry preparation.
• Be supportive of church policy, pastor and staff, and be able to communicate that support.
• Show commitment to attending Fellowship Church services and activities.
