Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to assist with general labour duties. This position requires you to meet at the crew truck in St. Thomas being prepared to be gone for extended stays. Meals and rooms will be provided when staying away from home. Previous labourer experience is required.
Job Description:
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools as directed
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Hours: Full time days, Monday to Friday
- Hours on shift may vary, weekends as needed
- Work location: On the road
- Extended stays as needed, meals and rooms will be provided
- Wage: $22/hour to start, negotiable with experience
Qualifications
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication skills to follow instructions effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tasks performed
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and tasks
- Accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to operate mobile equipment
- English, written and oral
- Experience required
