PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prep and painting for machine components
• Fabrication Saw and CNC Plasma Cutter operator
• General shop support

DAILY TASKS:

• Prepping steel framework and components for painting
• Clean and taping off parts for painting and or coating
• Part Prep. Clean parts. Remove welding spatter if required
• Painting frames and small components
• Cleaning parts for black oxide treatment
• Paint touch ups as required on machines
• Plasma cutting with the CNC machine
• Part Clean up. Grinding, scraping, deburring of slag
• Re-sizing holes and slot clean up to size
• General labour for the shop. Moving pallets, organizing parts, helping with skidding of machines, and wrapping up
• Light hand tool usage. Drilling/tapping
• Black Oxiding parts as required for projects

• 1-5 years of experience working in an industrial environment
• Must be able to read drawings to determine no paint areas
• Must be able to mix paint and setup and maintain paint guns
• Must be eager to learn new skills
• Must have valid and insurable driver’s license
• Must be a team player and support dmac’s culture
• First aid is a plus
• Fork truck certification is a plus
• Able to read a tape measure
