Kettle Creek Landscaping, St. Thomas
Wage:  $19-$24/hour
Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30 to 40 hours/week
Terms: Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas
• Plant, prune, fertilize, weed, and care for trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Operate hand tools, power mowers, tractors, and other landscape equipment
• Lay sod, spread topsoil, and handle nursery stock
• Assist with landscape construction as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including shop and equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Complete daily job tracking paperwork
• Adhere to all company policies and health & safety regulations
• Opportunities for winter snow removal work, including plowing, salting, and equipment operation

Work Conditions:

• Seasonal role with potential for year-round employment for the right candidates
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Exposure to heavy equipment and moving vehicles
• Fast-paced environment with occasional weekend work
• Requires good manual dexterity and stamina

• 1-2 years of experiencein horticulture or landscaping
• Plant knowledge, especially trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Horticulturist or Lawn Gardener Trade Certification (an asset)
• Snow removal experience is an asset
• Computer skills (an asset)
