Legal Assistant
Description
We are looking for an experienced office administrator who is organized, reliable, has solid writing skills, strong interpersonal skills and is comfortable working on a computer. Prior work experience in a legal setting preferred but not required.
Job Description
- Duties include, but not limited to, greeting clients, guests, and lawyers
- Answering, screening, and directing incoming calls and emails
- Handling incoming mail and deliveries
- Filing
- Making trips to local banks for bank deposits and dropping off documents to clients
- General office/administration duties, as required
- Wage to be discussed, based on experience
Qualifications
- Experience in a legal environment or professional services is considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Experience working a multi-line switchboard is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide customer service to our clients.
- Highly self-motivated, friendly, and professional.
- Ability to maintain and comply with confidentiality requirements.
- Well organized with high level of accuracy and proof-reading.
- Organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and written.
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.
- A willingness to receive feedback to further personal development.
- Proficiency with Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
