Legal Assistant

Description

We are looking for an experienced office administrator who is organized, reliable, has solid writing skills, strong interpersonal skills and is comfortable working on a computer. Prior work experience in a legal setting preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Duties include, but not limited to, greeting clients, guests, and lawyers
  • Answering, screening, and directing incoming calls and emails
  • Handling incoming mail and deliveries
  • Filing
  • Making trips to local banks for bank deposits and dropping off documents to clients
  • General office/administration duties, as required
  • Wage to be discussed, based on experience

Qualifications

  • Experience in a legal environment or professional services is considered an asset but not a requirement.
  • Experience working a multi-line switchboard is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide customer service to our clients.
  • Highly self-motivated, friendly, and professional.
  • Ability to maintain and comply with confidentiality requirements.
  • Well organized with high level of accuracy and proof-reading.
  • Organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and written.
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.
  • A willingness to receive feedback to further personal development.
  • Proficiency with Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
