Legal Assistant/Law Clerk
Description
Responsibilities:
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including Real Estate signing documents, probate documents and wills.
- Organize and maintain case files.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, date entry, and managing correspondence and preparing accounts.
- Collaborate with lawyers to manage appointments and files.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Occasional reception duties as required.
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (no weekends)
- 8-hour shift (8:30 am-4:30 pm)
- Lunch break (12pm-1pm)
Wage: Commensurate with experience level
On site parking

Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing with attention to detail.
- Experience with administrative tasks in a legal environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Real Estate Law process and Estates Law process.
- Experience assisting with the drafting of wills.
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written materials.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work together in a small office environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients.
