Line Cook/Prep Cook
Description
Wage: $17.60 to $20/hour
Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30 to 40 hours/week
Terms: No late nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Pur & Simple standards
- Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and plating
- Follow FIFO, proper cooking temperatures, rotations, and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as required
- Work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
You must have:
- Have experience with basic culinary skills and kitchen practices
- Demonstrate adequate knife-handling skills
- Understand FIFO, food safety, cooking temperatures, flipping, and rotations
- Be able to stand for long periods
- Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Have up to 1 year of kitchen experience(asset)
- Be available to work weekends
- Hold a Food Handler Certification(asset or willingness to obtain)
