The Corporation of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich is a progressive rural community with a population of approximately 4,152, ideally located directly off the 401, close to the north shore of Lake Erie near London and St. Thomas. Dutton Dunwich is a growing and revitalized community, comprised of many small commercial, tourism related and agri-businesses.

Summary:

Dutton Dunwich is currently seeking a motivated individual for the position of part-time casual on-call cleaner. Under the direction of the Manager of Roads and Facilities, the part-time cleaner assists with the daily cleanliness of Municipality of Dutton Dunwich Facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Keep facilities in a clean and orderly condition (sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, removing garbage.)
• Set-up and arrangement of equipment and/or facilities and takes down tables, chairs and decorations following events when needed.
• To be aware of all conditions which may be hazardous to others’ health and safety and, upon recognition of any aspects of these concerns, immediate steps must be taken to remedy the recognized concerns whether by personal action and/or by proper reporting initiatives.
• To perform other tasks and duties which may be required from time to time to ensure the efficient operation of facilities.

• Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent experience and/or training.
• Experience with housekeeping education, training, experience, or abilities in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid/CPR and Microsoft Office would be considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload to meet established deadlines.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs: stretch arms above head, bend to clean under furniture.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons.
