The RECE will Demonstrate competence and dedication to the development of programs and to the care of education of young children.  Educators will actively listen and respond to the children’s needs and interests as well as parent input and concerns.  All aspects of the Registered Early Childhood Educator position will be performed while working within the framework of the vision, mission and program statements and the policies and procedures of the Dutton Child Care Centre, the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, the Child Care Centre Licensing Manual and How Does Learning Happen?

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends!
• Expected hours 25-40 hrs per week
• Flexible Scheduling
• Wage – RECE starting at $24.44/hr (this includes the government wage subsidies)
• Wage – Non-RECE starting at $20.01/hr (this includes government wage subsidies)

• Demonstrate effective communication and reflective practice skills while maintaining a respectful and non-judgmental attitude towards children and their families, co-workers, and community partners

Qualifications:

• ECE Diploma
• Registered and in good standing with the college of ECE’s
• Minimum two years related experience working with children ages 0-12 preferred
• Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate from a recognised provider or be willing to complete this within two months of employment
• Must have satisfactory Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check from within six months or be willing to complete this upon employment
• Up to date childhood immunizations
