Join Our Team as a ReStore Associate!
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused part-time ReStore Associate to support the daily operations of our St. Thomas ReStore location while delivering an exceptional experience for customers and donors.
As a ReStore Associate, you are often the first point of contact for our community. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming environment, supporting sales, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring donated goods are presented in a way that maximizes revenue and impact.
The Habitat ReStores generate revenue by selling donated and reclaimed building materials and household articles to fund the activities of Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario.

- Incoming donations are processed efficiently and prepared for sale in a timely manner.

What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers and donors warmly, creating positive and professional interactions in person and over the phone.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance with product inquiries and purchasing decisions.
- Promote and upsell products to enhance the customer experience and support sales goals.
- Accurately and efficiently process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Ensure merchandise is effectively displayed and clearly labeled for maximum visibility and sales impact.
- Restock shelves and organize products throughout the store.
- Sort, clean, and prepare incoming donations for sale.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate high-demand or low-stock items to management.
- Participate in store promotions, events, and special projects as required.

Qualifications
About You:
- Customer Service Focus: Friendly, professional, and service-oriented.
- Retail Readiness: Comfortable assisting customers, handling transactions, and supporting sales.
- Adaptability: Able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Attention to Detail: Takes pride in product presentation and store organization.
- Technology Skills: Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks safely.
- Availability: Willingness to work Saturdays as scheduled.
- Certifications: Forklift Operator license is an asset or willingness to become certified.
- Cleared criminal background check.
