Join our Team at Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario and become a driving force to support our mission!

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated individual to take the wheel of our donations truck, collecting generous donations to support our ReStores. As the face of our organization, you’ll engage with donors, ensure safe transportation of goods, and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate our ReStore donation trucks with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Keep our trucks in top-notch condition through regular cleaning and maintenance checks.
  • Ensure the safety of our vehicles with daily inspections.
  • Skillfully load and unload donations, handling items with care.
  • Maintain accurate records of donations for reporting purposes.
  • Provide exceptional service to donors, treating their contributions with the utmost respect.
  • Supervise team members and volunteers during pickups.
  • Assist with donation processing and store tasks when not on the road.
  • Help uphold the organization and cleanliness of our ReStores.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass forklift training if needed.
  • Fulfill any other duties as required.
  • Starting wage – $19.00/hour

Position Openings:

  • LOCATION: Brantford, Ontario, 80 Morton St., East
    • 1 Full-time position

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

*Drivers must be eligible to be added to Habitat vehicle insurance – this requires at least 5 years of driving experience and a favourable driving record.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and excellence in customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time to move and handle boxes of merchandise, furniture and fixtures over varied terrain, including stairs and through doorways.
  • Competency in assessing the condition of donated goods.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • The position requires flexibility and adaptability to cover any needs in the workday due to staff changes.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • OSHA/forklift training a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes).
