Hours: 9 weeks (approximately 228 total working hours)
Schedule: Weeks 1–6 (Pre-Festival): 20 hours per week (flexible hours for business outreach)
Schedule: Week 7 (Festival Week): 45 hours (full-time on-site presence during the August long weekend).
Wage: Ontario minimum wage of $16.60/hour

The Port Stanley Calipso Festival 2026 is scheduled for the August long weekend, from Saturday, August 1, to Monday, August 3, 2026.

Responsibilities:

Direct Business Outreach: Visit and contact local Port Stanley businesses to recruit sponsors and participants for fundraising initiatives.

Partnership Coordination: Act as a main point of contact for small business partners to ensure their brand is properly represented in promotional materials.

Financial Tracking: Record all incoming donations and sponsorship commitments for the final festival report Digital Engagement: Coordination with Media Managers Calipso Facebook and Instagram accounts with daily updates to drive attendance.

Promotion: Circulate flyers and posters throughout the village and local tourist hubs.

Email Correspondence: Handle inquiries from sponsors, and the general public via the festival’s official email channels Participant Metrics: Use on-site surveys during the festival to collect demographic and attendance data.

Post-Event Reports: Compile all collected data into a comprehensive report for the festival committee and grants.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Safe Food Handler certification an asset
• Ability to multi-task, efficient, dependable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Creative and energetic
• Meets criteria for Summer Student Program
