DESCRIPTION

The Municipality of Central Elgin is currently recruiting for a Full Time Customer Service/Non Profit Housing Coordinator. This is a 35 hour/week, non-union position reporting to the CAO/Clerk with financial reporting to the Director of Finance/Treasurer. The Customer Service/Non Profit Housing Coordinator will provide a vital link between the corporation and the public and acts as the Secretary Treasurer for the Non Profit Housing Corporation.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Customer Service

Providing front counter and telephone service, dealing with customers in respect to a wide range of needs quickly and efficiently.

Perform daily payment transaction balancing, funds for deposit and account adjustments and revenue report preparation.

Maintain confidentiality, security, awareness, cash keeping and handling.

Receive, assess, respond/refer to, dispatch, and follow-up on customer inquiries regarding Central Elgin information, programs, special events, and requests for non-emergency Municipal services.

Non Profit Housing

Attends all NPH board and tenant meetings to take minutes and act as the intermediary between the Directors of the Board and the Municipality.

Prepares agendas, minutes, financial reports, and correspondence for the Non-

Profit Housing Corporation monthly meetings.

Coordinates responses to all Non-Profit Housing applicant inquiries and tenant concerns in a timely fashion. In addition, responsible for administering the Non-Profit Housing Wait List Policy & Procedures and maintaining the Wait Lists.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will have the following desired qualifications:

Three year community college diploma with a business or finance focus or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Municipal experience preferred.

Experience working with Non-Profit Housing or Social Housing preferred.

Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
